Shiver...

The Acid burned the linings of your skin,
as you stared at me,
with dark eyes and torn hands.
Doe eyes.
I kissed your neck,
you said it made you shiver.

I wondered if I was hearing things,
as I ran my tongue down the outline of your face,
Tracing the bones on your shoulder,
listening to the rhythm your teeth chatter in the distance.

Bite.
The taste of forbidden fruit,
Citric,
Coursing through my veins,
Stripping down the heap of cloaks,
around my heart,
Until it hung, naked,
like the brightest ruby, strung from a thread,
Like an albatross around my neck,
and you watched me,
Shiver.
